The forest produce seized in the offense committed in accordance with this Act or the means or tools used to commit such offense shall be submitted to the officer hearing the case as evidence.
(2) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-section (1), if the forest products, tools and other instruments seized in the offense committed under this Act cannot be presented before the officer hearing the case as evidence, such evidence shall be placed in the custody of the nearest forest office and the bond shall be submitted. Ten proofs will be treated as if submitted.
(3) This section shall not be deemed to prevent the officer hearing the case from taking the report and taking the door khatai report where such evidence is kept.
